Psycho-Social Insight on Legal Offenses

Kane & Associates, in criminal matters, provides psycho-social insight that can arise from the following three areas:

  • Social-psychological theory suggests that criminal behavior is a result of the interaction between an indivdual's personal characteristics and their social environment, including their socialization experiences, relationships, and cultural context.
  • Psychopathology theory of crime: the psychological strain or stress may result in a drive to commit more serious crimes.
  • Psychosocial theories address patterned changes in ego development, including self-understanding, identity formation, social relationships, and worldview across the life span.
